It is with deep sadness that we can confirm the passing of an on course bookmaker at Sunderland Greyhound Stadium during racing on Sunday 5 January.
Our thoughts and condolences are very much with the friends and family of the bookmaker who was a long time supporter of Sunderland Greyhound Stadium, having stood as either a bookmaker or clerk since 1990.
Everyone connected with Sunderland Greyhound Stadium are in shock at this tragic loss. We would very much like to thank members of our own team and those present for their support of the work of the Emergency Services who attended the scene.
