Arena Racing Company reported significant growth in online bookings this autumn at its greyhound tracks, courtesy of a campaign which reduced the cost of all admission packages.
The UK’s largest racecourse operator launched its Back On Track initiative in October which offered racegoers 25 per cent off all admission, trackside and restaurant packages.
Online bookings increased by 33 per cent year-on-year, while restaurant reservations jumped by 28 per cent.
The campaign applied to Central Park, Nottingham, Newcastle and Sunderland Stadiums, while the brand-new Dunstall Park continues to offer punters £5 general admission for all Wednesday and Friday night fixtures until the end of the year.
It proved so successful that Back On Track was extended by ARC to cover the first two weeks of November as well.
Sarah Newman, Marketing and Communications Manager at Arena Racing Company, hailed it as a huge success.
“We launched Back On Track with a view to engaging three customer types,” said Sarah.
“They were our regular racegoers, casuals who might visit once or twice each year and people living in the immediate vicinity of each track.
“We are thrilled with the public’s response to the campaign, particularly amid economic uncertainty where competition for the leisure pound has never been greater.
“This is a real boost ahead of a busy Christmas schedule for all venues which will set the foundations for a positive 2026 where we have every intention of growing these figures even more.”
Sunderland Stadium was among the tracks to welcome more racegoers through its turnstiles as a result of Back On Track.
The Newcastle Road venue increased restaurant reservations by 59 per cent year-on-year from October 1 until November 15, while hospitality packages jumped by 41 per cent compared to 2024.
Further information about ticketing offers at all Arena Racing Company operated greyhound stadia is available online via each track’s website and social media channels.
